July 27th, 2014:  Hey guys, it has been a busy week. Last Tuesday, I finally traded the air compressor and got a Movado Watch. I had to do some research, and I found out that these watches are Swiss made and they are mostly sold in jewelry stores. It is pretty nice and it is from their Museum Collection. I traded with a guy named David and I will be posting the watch next week. I am not sure if you have seen a pattern for all of my trades, but the average time for each trade is about two weeks. This was the only offer that I got, but I think it was pretty good.
On Wednesday, I was able to give the rest of the deck money to Amanda from Crosses for Losses. We ended up donating $1700. I say we because like always, many people were involved in making this donation happen. My sister Aubree’s Girl Scout Troop 67 donated $200 of the money. They saw on the Crosses Facebook page that there is still a huge need in Black Forest. Many people now have re-built houses, but don’t have enough to furnish their new homes. Since school is starting soon there is now a need for school supplies and more. They list their current needs on their Facebook page if you want to help. The other person that had the biggest part in the donation of the playground and the $ for Crosses is Jeff, the owner of Innovative Exteriors. Thanks again Jeff!
Now for the really big news, I have another deck to sell, it’s going to benefit Colorado Strong, Crosses for Losses and maybe something else (see their FB pages). I am still trying to see what God would like me to do with the money when it comes. I have some ideas, but I am still praying. Let me know if you have any ideas. This deck is the same as the last one. A 144 sq. ft., TREX deck worth $9200. If the bidder needs something bigger, Jeff will give you a bid and take $9200 off the price. I am starting the bids at $4000 again. So whoever gets it will save $5200 unless they are outbid. The deck is now on Craigslist.Tell all you friends that the One Purple Lego Project is still going strong. I will post all the photos soon.I have started working on my Nissan Truck. Tomorrow, I am going to Pueblo to get some parts for it.

July 14th, 2014:  Here are some of the photos from the mission trip to Bogota Colombia.

July 14th, 2014: Hey everyone, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything. I had to finish up the school year and since then I have been doing events and harvest in Kansas on my Grandpa's farm. He is 91 years old and still driving a combine!
The deck has been sold! Just a recap: Jeff with Innovative Exteriors in Colorado Springs donated a 12x12, Trex Deck worth $9200. The deck sold for $4000 just in time to help pay for a playground that was built at a church in Bogota Colombia. A group of people from our church went there for 10 days. I did not go on this mission trip, but it looks like they had fun. The mission team worked really hard to get everything done in the short time they were there and the kids were very excited to get the playground and a concrete play area. The kids only had one small slide before and the team had to mix all of the cement by hand for the play area. I will post the photos soon. One Purple Lego is now global. The remaining money will go to Crosses for Losses this week! I am now actively trading the Air Compressor that I got in March.

June 11th, 2014: This rainbow was over Black Forest today, the one year anniversary of the fire. It's a sign of hope and restoration for the people who lost so much last year. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

May 6th, 2014: The Spirit of One Purple Lego lives on!!! Recently, I presented at school and church...The story inspired one of the Journey Chapel Church members, Jeff Masias of Innovative Exteriors of Colorado. He and Trex are donating a new 12x12 deck (materials and intstall) to One Purple Lego. At $64.00 per square foot, this deck is valued over $9200!  I hope to get $6000 for the deck and donate half of the money to Crosses for Losses and the other half will go towards buying a playground and industrial mixer for our "sister church in Colombia! Yes, the country Colombia! Our church is doing a mission trip there in July.
